Bubbles, chocolate, and strawberries, what else could you need this Valentine’s Day?
Happy V Day!! <3
I know chocolate covered strawberries are pretty typical for Valentine’s Day. But a few days ago it dawned on me, how much better would they be if the strawberries were first soaked in champagne?? SO much better!!!
So very impromptu I soaked some strawberries last night and dipped them today. It’s seriously so easy to do but seems so elegant and like you put a lot of thought into it. I mean even guys could make this for their ladies!
Well I have the best boyfriend and he gave me beautiful roses and a balloon today. Even though I don’t need anything at all to know he loves me it’s nice to come off a long night shift to see roses in the house!
So Happy V Day Lovers!
The Innards:
- 1 box Strawberries
- 1 4oz bar of Chocolate
- 2 cups Champagne
- 1/4 cup or so Cream
How to make it:
1. Clean your strawberries.
2. Put them in muffin tins with the leaves up. I thought this would work best so the leaves wouldn’t get all soggy and ugly looking.
3. Pour champagne into the muffin tins.
4. Place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
5. Make a double broiler by boiling water in a half full sauce pan and place a glass bowl on top of it on medium heat.
6. Melt your chocolate and at a little cream just for some good flavor and to thin the chocolate a bit.
7. Dip your strawberries in the chocolate andlet cool in the fridge for about 1 hour.
Bon Appétit!
